SASA constitutes an important part of Turkey’s production capacity in the polyester fiber, filament, and polymer sectors. SASA Fiber Department produces for three different sectors—textiles, technical textiles, and the comfort & filling fiber sector—offering products in various segments. SASA Filament Department manufactures POY (partially oriented yarn) and textured yarns for the textile, carpet, and automotive sectors. SASA PET Resin and PET Chips Department produces for the textile, film and packaging, industrial, bottle & sheet sectors, as well as the film & packaging industry.

SASA’s shares were offered to public on 1 November 1996. As of August 2025, 54.76% of the company’s shares are publicly traded on the BIST STARS MARKET. The indexes in which the company is included are as follows: BIST CHEM., PETROL, PLASTIC / BIST LIQUID 10 EX BANKS / BIST 500 / BIST BUYBACK / BIST INDUSTRIALS / BIST 30 / BIST 50 / BIST SUSTAINABILITY / BIST 100 / BIST ADANA / BIST ALL SHARES / BIST STARS
In accordance with Article 5 of the Capital Markets Board’s Communiqué No.II-14.1, SASA's financial results are prepared in line with the Turkish Accounting Standards / Turkish Financial Reporting Standards (TMS / TFRS') issued by the Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority (KGK), together with their annexes and interpretations.
The financial statements and the board of directors activity reports are prepared and presented to public for every three months including March, June, September and December periods.
All the raw materials that SASA uses are petroleum-derived products and the most frequently used ones among these are as follows: Paraxylene (Px), Methanol (MeoH), Monoethyleneylycol(MEG), Pure Terephalic Acid (PTA), 2 Ethly Hexanol (TEH), 1.4 Butanediol (BDO)
In the period from 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2025, approximately 25% of SASA’s fiber, yarn, and POY product sales were to foreign markets, while around 75% were to the domestic market. For polyester chips, approximately 52% of sales were to the domestic market and 48% to foreign markets.
As of 30 June 2025, SASA employs a total of 3,941 personnel.
SASA's main operations are carried out in its headquarters located in Adana. SASA also has a tank farm that is located in İskenderun, a Solar Power Plant located in Gaziantep, and Liaison Offices located in Ankara and İstanbul.
In the period from 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2025, approximately 70% of SASA’s sales revenues were denominated in USD, 29% in EUR, and 1% in TRY.
